Nicky joined SOS in 1998 (as Nichola McKinley) for The Sorcerer, which had her future husband Martin Paterson as Musical Director! Nicky has been involved both on-stage and off-stage ever since. Co-opted as a young Committee Member in her first year, she went on to be the Production Liaison Officer for several years before ‘taking a break’ for children (but continuing as Assistant Production Manager) and then re-joining Committee as Secretary in 2019 (with Paul Dawson-Plincke as Chair). When Brigitte Lavoie re-took the reigns as Chair at the 2023 AGM, Nicky moved into the Production Manager role.
