Jonathan has been a society member ever since he provided his tree surgery harness and rigging for Bill Sykes in the Mayflower Oliver so that he could die safely and not plummet to his actual death. Now on committee he sploshes about in the shallows of social events like carols and forest walks while the big committee beasts swim boldly out into the deeper waters of making SOS actually work properly.
