Guys and Dolls is an exuberant musical set in 1950s New York, where gambling is prohibited. Nathan Detroit defies the law by running a floating crap game, to the eternal disappointment of his fiancée of 14 years, Miss Adelaide. Then when Nathan needs $1,000 in a hurry, he bets Sky Masterson that he can’t take the straightlaced missionary Sarah Brown on a date – setting another unlikely couple on the path to romance. This exciting, roller coaster of a musical features a host of lovable characters, plenty of dance action and standout ensemble numbers including The Oldest Established (Permanent Floating Crap Game), Luck Be A Lady and Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International. All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
